Anchorage PrideFest is sponsored each
year by Identity,
Inc. Identity is an umbrella organization that provides
a full range of community services, including the Gay
and Lesbian Community Center of Anchorage, the annual
Alaska Pride Conference, and the GLBT Help Line. Identity
is an Alaska 501[c][3] nonprofit organization.
The PrideFest steering committee typically
includes representatives from the major GLBT groups in
Anchorage: The
Imperial Court of All Alaska (ICOAA), The
Last Frontier Men’s Club (TLFMC), the Alaska
AIDS Assistance Association (Four A’s), Parents
and Friends of Gay and Lesbians (PFLAG), Gay
Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN), Metropolitan
Community Church (MCC) of Anchorage, Adam & Steve,
Radical Arts for Women (RAW), and others.
The goal of PrideFest is to provide the community with
a means to celebrate the diversity within Anchorage, and
to give expression to the pride we feel as gay, lesbian,
bisexual and transgendered people. We hope this public
celebration and affirmation of our heritage and history
will serve as inspiration for those who are questioning
their own sexual or gender identity.

How You Can Help?
We always need volunteers during Pride Week! We need people
to help with Festival setup, breakdown, and cleanup, information
booths/tables, Parade & Festival security, and gophers
for special tasks during the Festival.
If you’re part of a group or organization,
you can help by sponsoring a community-wide event during
PrideFest week, entering a float or marching contingent
in the Parade, or offering a booth in the Festival Marketplace.
Individuals can help by just showing up for the Parade
and Festival and bringing their friends along with them.
To enter the Parade or host a vendor booth
in the PrideFest Marketplace, use the links
page to download applications.
